Other compounds with this structure

InPt,  Cu$_{11}$In$_{9}$

  • (El-Broagy, 1972) use $\beta < 90°$ and put the Cu I atom at the (2a) site with the Al I atom on the (2d) site. The AFLOW standard uses $\beta > 90°$ and puts Al I at (2a) and Cu I at (2d). This rewrites the lattice vectors.
  • (El-Broagy, 1972) describe this as a vacancy variant of the CsCl ($B2$) structure and also refer to this structure as Cu$_{51}$Al$_{49}$, indicating some disorder. This is effect is more dramatic in Cu$_{11}$In$_{9}$ (ICSD 102986), where the (2d) site is half copper and half indium.
